Felicity specialises in clinical and health psychology. Her areas of expertise include the assessment and treatment of a variety of psychological disorders of adults. Felicity’s general approach is strongly influenced by cognitive behaviour therapy and positive psychology and she especially likes teaching people ways to use what they learn in therapy in their everyday lives.
Felicity has completed a Masters in Science (Psychology) at the University of Auckland and has worked in both private and public sectors delivering counselling and clinical psychology services. She intends to undertake a PhD in Psychology starting in 2012 and her research interests include the areas of resilience, coping and anxiety in adults. Felicity currently works as a Psychologist at Redlands Hospital in adult mental health with a focus on acute situations including psychosis, major depression, anxiety disorders, grief/loss, crisis situations as well as alcohol and drug issues. The team she works with specialises in working with adults over 18 years of age up to and including post-retirement age. She also works part-time in private practice at Return 2 Balance two days per week.
